From the Indicator:
After finishing two consecutive seasons in second place behind archrival Bronx Science, Stuyvesant's Math Team had its revenge this year by beating Science and capturing first place in the city. The team triumphed by only one point in the last meet of the season. Our cumulative score was 67 as against 66 for second place Science and 50 for third place Midwood. The efforts of our Math Team were supervised by faculty advisor Mr. Greenberg and Captain Richard Arratia, who together with Tum Lee, shared high scorer honors for the team. Co-Captain Richard Steinhauer, Irwin Rosenfeld, Tum Lee, Harley Kaufman, and Steven Kleinman held the other key positions on the starting team, providing the necessary mathematical talent and competitive ability needed for a championship team.
