From the Indicator:
The Stuyvesant Math Team, under the direction of Mr. Greenberg and the leadership of Co-Captains Steven Weintraub and Daniel Hirschberg, is assured of second place in the city competition. With such outstanding members as Alvin Martin, Arthur Ross (sic), and Richard Arratia, the team has a substantial chance to be the City Champion. The five team members that represent Stuyvesant are chosen from the Math Team class which meets daily at 8:00 A.M. They practice solving a variety of problems which do not require especially advanced knowledge, but warrant much mathematical intuition.
