From the Indicator:

This fall, Stuyvesant's Math Team placed second behind Brooklyn Tech in the interscholastic Mathematics League. The team, coached by Mr. Greenberg, was led by Captain Fernando Reich and Co-Captain Eli Cohen, who was second high scorer in the city. In the Mathematics Association of America competition, Stuyvesant trounced Tech, and Reich placed among the top in the nation.
