From the Indicator:
The Math Team, one of Stuyvesant's prize groups, succeeded again this semester in sustaining its reputation as one of the best in the city. With the aid of Arthur Greenwood, Paul Farber, Robert Chase, Walter Landauer, Marshal (sic) Rosenbluth and Stan Fleisig, they were able to keep the laurels which past Math Teams have so proudly sported. In one of the toughest seasons that any Stuyvesant Math Team ever encountered, they roundly demonstrated that Stuyvesant is the school for math. Mr. Sternberg, who is also adviser to the Chess Team, was able to divide his attentions sufficiently well between the two squads so that both of them came off with honors.
